It took Tombola’s customer service team to persuade the winner’s husband that the prize was real. The couple, who recently marked their 50th wedding anniversary, have said that they will use some of the prize money to pay for a trip to the Harry Potter Studios in Watford.
According to the winner, they will also use the money for treats, home improvements, and to help their children with their Christmas plans. The woman also said that she will be hosting the family for Christmas this year, including her two children and grandchildren.
Louise McDonough, the head of customer experience and community at Tombola, said:
