In July last year, one of the UK’s smaller independent bingo operators, Majestic Bingo, entered administration, putting the future of all eight of its venues in doubt. However, all eight bingo venues were purchased by Real Fun Group Ltd in December last year and the Apollo Caernarfon venue will be celebrating this month with a new ownership party.
Apollo Caernarfon ownership party will be held on Saturday, April 13, beginning at 5 pm. Talking about the event, Aaron Sharp, assistant support manager at Apollo Caernarfon, said:
“Apollo Bingo Hall has been an integral part of our community for many years, serving thousands of members with fun and entertainment. Recently, we have undergone a significant transition, surviving administration, and are thrilled to announce that we are now part of the Real Fun Group family. To commemorate this exciting new chapter, we are hosting a celebration party on April 13. The event promises to be a memorable one, with a red carpet entrance, bubbly upon arrival, goody bags, live entertainment, and exciting prize money.”
Bingo tickets for the party evening are just £12 and there will be three £50 full house prizes and three £100 full house prizes. There will also be entertainment from Kris Kane and the chance to win extra prizes.
The venue in Caernarfon is not the only one to be holding a new ownership party. Real Fun Group has announced a similar party for Apollo Rhyl, also taking place on Saturday, April 13, and there are likely to be plans to hold parties at the six other venues it acquired late last year.
The acquisition of all the properties is being celebrated by Real Fun Group and the company has been working hard to familiarise itself with the venues and their existing staff.
The chief executive of Real Fun Group, Kevin McGinnigle, explained that they have been working over the past three months to get to know the team and see how they work in the venue. He also said that customers have been in touch to tell them how much it means to them that the venue is staying open.
McGinnigle added, “We’ve plenty of work ahead of us, but from the couple of initiatives we’ve implemented already, I think it’s going to be a fun year ahead.”
Real Fun Group now has 10 bingo venues across the UK and employs close to 200 people, making it one of the largest independent bingo operators.
Prior to purchasing the eight Majestic Bingo venues, Real Fun Group operated two clubs and it now has clubs in Caernarfon, Camborne, Rhyl, Donnington, Bishop Auckland, Mid Glamorgan, Warndon, Skegness, Belper and South Shields.
Real Fun Group even has an online bingo presence. Majestic Bingo ran an online bingo site that has been taken over by Real Fun Group. This means that if you visit the website of any of its clubs, you will find a link to an online bingo site, which at the time of writing is welcoming players with a £10 bingo bonus, 10 free spins, and 40 free tickets when they make a first deposit of £10.
The site is home to several themed bingo rooms offering a mixture of 90-ball, 75-ball and 52-ball bingo. There are daily jackpot games, free bingo rooms and plenty of online slots to enjoy. It is currently undergoing a rebranding from “Majestic Bingo” to “Real Fun Group”, but the online games are still available while this is taking place.
Therefore, if you are near one of Real Fun Group newly acquired bingos, you can look forward to the new ownership parties. If you don’t happen to live close enough to one, at least you can join in with the bingo action online.
