Their luck began early in November when they won the £6,000 jackpot playing Mecca’s Lucky Stars game. Then, just one week later, they went home with the enormous £50,000 from the National Bingo Game.
While the pair have asked to remain anonymous, they are known to be regular players at the bingo club at Forge Market located in Glasgow’s Parkhead area. The mother-daughter team reportedly always play together and then pool their winnings.

Stephanie Donlin, the duty manager at the Mecca Forge, was the person to tell the pair how much they had won, and she said that they were amazed to discover how much they had won:
“They were so shocked. The daughter had won the £6,000 jackpot on our Lucky Stars game only the week before, and on the night of the National Game win she was one who reached over and hit the ‘claim’ button on her Mum’s tablet. Although they knew they’d won something, neither of them had realised that she’d done it within the first 16 numbers being called so had no idea how big the prize was.”
Stephanie went on to explain that winning two bingo jackpots in two weeks is almost unheard of:
“Bingo is a game of chance and speed, and for our winners to hit the jackpot twice in two weeks is incredible. We couldn’t be more delighted for them! It just goes to show that lightning really can strike twice.”
After landing their big win, the duo reportedly stayed calm and instead of celebrating wildly, they simply carried on playing.
It has been a fantastic year for players on the National Bingo game in the Glasgow area. There have been no less than six jackpot winners. The biggest win was a £125,000 jackpot won at Mecca Paisley in April.
