Last month saw a very lucky mother-daughter duo hit two jackpots and win a vast amount of money at their local Mecca Bingo venue in Glasgow.

Their luck began early in November when they won the £6,000 jackpot playing Mecca’s Lucky Stars game. Then, just one week later, they went home with the enormous £50,000 from the National Bingo Game.

While the pair have asked to remain anonymous, they are known to be regular players at the bingo club at Forge Market located in Glasgow’s Parkhead area. The mother-daughter team reportedly always play together and then pool their winnings.

With the holiday season upon us and the spirit of giving in full swing, it’s the perfect time to explore the Christmas online bingo promos and see if luck is on your side.

Mother and Daughter Shocked by Good Fortune

Stephanie Donlin, the duty manager at the Mecca Forge, was the person to tell the pair how much they had won, and she said that they were amazed to discover how much they had won:

“They were so shocked. The daughter had won the £6,000 jackpot on our Lucky Stars game only the week before, and on the night of the National Game win she was one who reached over and hit the ‘claim’ button on her Mum’s tablet. Although they knew they’d won something, neither of them had realised that she’d done it within the first 16 numbers being called so had no idea how big the prize was.”

Stephanie went on to explain that winning two bingo jackpots in two weeks is almost unheard of:

“Bingo is a game of chance and speed, and for our winners to hit the jackpot twice in two weeks is incredible. We couldn’t be more delighted for them! It just goes to show that lightning really can strike twice.”

After landing their big win, the duo reportedly stayed calm and instead of celebrating wildly, they simply carried on playing.

An Unforgettable Year for Glasgow’s Bingo Players

It has been a fantastic year for players on the National Bingo game in the Glasgow area. There have been no less than six jackpot winners. The biggest win was a £125,000 jackpot won at Mecca Paisley in April. There were also two winners of the £50,000 jackpot at Mecca Drumchapel, one in January and one in May, and three winners at Mecca Glasgow Forge in July, October, and November.

Of course, 2024 isn’t quite over yet, and it is entirely possible that another jackpot win will take place before the end of the year.

If you have yet to take part in a National Bingo Game, then there are plenty of opportunities to do so. The games take place every day of the year except Christmas Day, and it costs just £1 for 2 tickets or £2 for five tickets.

Each National Bingo Game offers just one prize, the full house prize, but it is also possible to win club prizes from the same games. The top prize of £50,000 is won by calling house in 16 calls or less. If no one manages that, there is a £1,000 prize for calling house in 20 calls or less, and a £100 prize for calling house in 24 calls or less. You can rest assured about the reliability and safety of the games, as the National Bingo Game is fully licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.

As the Glaswegian mother-daughter lucky team discovered, there are also many ways to win jackpots from Mecca Bingo’s regular games. Regular promotions are being run at the clubs as well as special games with extra large prizes, so it is definitely worth checking what is on offer at your local Mecca venue. You may not manage to win two jackpots in two weeks, but as this mother and daughter from Glasgow have demonstrated, it certainly isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.
