There were celebrations at Mecca Bingo Hartlepool on July 6 as the club threw a party to celebrate a player winning a £50,000 community jackpot.

The jackpot was won during the National Bingo Game’s special Super Share Saturday game, which took place on Saturday, 29th June. It saw the player who called house in the fewest number of calls nationwide win a jackpot for themselves and the £50,000 community jackpot, which was shared with all other participating players in the club.

The winning player has chosen to remain anonymous. However, he called house in just 19 calls, triggering the community jackpot and bagging himself a prize of £1,000.

The assistant manager at Mecca Bingo Hartlepool, Neil Lamb, spoke about the atmosphere in the club after the jackpot was won:

“When we had a full house claim on the nineteenth call, the excitement in the club started to mount, as 19 is a really low number of calls in which to complete a ticket. When it was confirmed that Mecca Hartlepool had won the community prize, everyone was cheering and very excited. I was swamped by very happy customers who couldn’t believe that they’d all won.”

Michelle Doherty, the general manager at Mecca Bingo Hartlepool, added:

“Bingo always brings people together, but never more so than when there’s a shared jackpot. Thanks to our regular player winning on the special ‘Super Share Saturday’ game, we had a venue full of winners. The ticket holder went home with the £1,000 individual jackpot prize, and then the £50,000 community jackpot was shared between everyone in Hartlepool who had played the game.”

Recently, we shared another big win where a woman plans to use her £50K bingo win to fund her mother’s early retirement. Such a lovely gesture.

Second Jackpot Won at Club 3000 Greenock

While the National Bingo Game takes place twice a day, these kinds of community jackpots are far rarer. There were two up for grabs on the same day, and the second was won by players at Club 3000 in Greenock.

There were 150 others taking part in the game at Greenock, which meant that each player received £335. The winning player is reportedly a retired local woman who visits the club every Saturday with her friend. In addition to the National Bingo community jackpot, she also won a £1,000 jackpot for herself.

Speaking afterward, the woman said:

“I was overjoyed when the numbers came up, the money will go towards our holiday to Gran Canaria at the end of the year. I was also so happy that everyone in the club received part of the £50,000 too. We love coming to the club and have so many friends here so to share this community prize makes it even more special.”

It was the sixth big jackpot win at the Greenock club in the last couple of years, helping to cement its reputation as Scotland’s luckiest bingo venue.

Andrew MacDonald, the assistant manager of Club 3000 in Greenock, said:

“The atmosphere in the club was electric when all customers realised, they had won a share of the prize, each receiving £335. This is now our sixth big jackpot win over the last couple of years and we certainly have a lucky streak in our club making it the luckiest club in the whole of Scotland. If you’re feeling lucky it’s the place to be and a great night out too! It was a brilliant way to celebrate not only for our customer but bingo in general, this year’s National Bingo Week has been the best!”

Daily Chances to Win from Just £1

The National Bingo Game is available in a huge number of bingo clubs across the UK. It takes place every day of the year, both afternoon and evening, except Christmas Day, and it costs just £1 for 2 tickets or £2 for 5 tickets.

There is only a full house prize up for grabs, but if you claim it in 16 calls or less, you win a £50,000 jackpot; claim it in 20 calls or less, and you win a £1,000 jackpot and claim it in 24 calls or less, and you win a £100 jackpot. You will also win any prizes that are on offer in the club where you are playing.

Additionally, you don’t have to worry about the safety and regulation of the association because it is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
