Bongo’s Bingo, the award-winning bingo experience, has announced a new set of dates for Asylum at Hull University.
The events taking place this month and in March are sold out, but those who have missed out will have another chance in April when Bongos Bingo events return for four more nights on April 6, April 13, April 19, and April 26.
We recently introduced Bongo’s Bingo party approach to bingo playing, which breaks the stereotype of the traditional game.
Tonight, February 16, Bongo’s Bingo is running its ‘Wild Night Out’ event in Hull. Celebrating the 1990s, it is packed with dancing, Britpop, the Spice Girls, and more. The blend of clubbing and bingo has made it one of the most popular nights out in the UK.
Those lucky enough to have tickets will be able to enjoy dance-offs, race rounds, karaoke sessions, and the chance to win a huge range of prizes, including giant pink fluffy unicorns, Henry Hoovers, and much more.
When the February shows were announced, Bongo’s Bingo co-founder Jonny Bongo said:
“We absolutely love the 90s at Bongo’s Bingo and it’s the defining decade which underpins the heart of our shows. So February is going to be packed with even more nostalgia – from peak time anthems to sing-a-longs to absolute classics from those magical years on top of everything we usually do. It’s going to be class at Asylum in Hull.”
It is worth noting that there are still tickets available for the St. Patrick’s Day special event taking place at Asylum on Friday, 15 March.
You can join an evening of Irish music from B*Witched to U2, The Corrs to Enya and much more. There will also be special prizes for those who come with the best costume, but the organisers warn that a Guinness hat will not be good enough.
On the event page, they claim that it is “one of the best nights of the year” and with tickets costing just £11, it is definitely worth grabbing them before they’re sold out.
In truly exciting news, Bongo’s Bingo is preparing to make its US debut. Jonny Bongo explained:
“Almost nine years in and it’s still surreal to reflect on our journey. We’re hyped to be getting stuck into 2024 and the biggest pinch-me moment of the year so far is embarking on our long-awaited venture to break America. We’re launching in New York on Saturday, February 17 with a run of three shows. We also have plans to perform at more festivals than ever before including our party sets at Snowbombing, Mighty Hoopla, The Cambridge Club and others.”
Incredibly, a group of UK super fans are travelling to New York for the opening weekend. The events will be taking place at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. However, it remains to be seen what Americans will make of what The Wall Street Journal called “England’s wildest event”.
You don’t need to be in Hull or New York to enjoy Bongo’s Bingo. There are events planned for many more locations around the UK and indeed, around the world. The full list of venues is huge and includes Aberdeen, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Brighton, Coventry, Dubai, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gorleston-On-Sea, Hull, Kingston, Leamington Spa, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle Norwich, Nottingham, Preston, Rochester, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Shrewsbury, Southampton, Stafford, Stoke, Swindon, Wigan, Wolverhampton, and York.
Each of these cities will be hosting Bongos Bingo nights over the coming months. While they won’t all be special themed events, all Bongo’s Bingo experiences are memorable and a huge amount of fun. It’s something you will never come close to playing online bingo, so if you are yet to try it, book your tickets today and discover for yourself what all the fuss is about.
