Speaking after the win, caller Kat Anderson said:
“The whole club was eager for the National Game to start, and when the full house claim came in on the 15th call, I just couldn’t believe it. The customer burst into tears and the whole club was alight with excitement!
It’s the third time I’ve given away the incredible £50,000 national jackpot. It’s such a magical feeling to be able to give somebody that prize. I was standing in for a colleague who had lost their voice – now customers think I’m their lucky charm!
The winner, came over and hugged me and then rang her husband – he misheard her and just couldn’t believe it when she repeated how much she’d won.”
The general manager of Mecca Bingo Luton, Mark Jervis, added:
“The £50k National Bingo Game jackpot is a real cause for celebration! This is the third time that Kat has made one of our players £50,000 richer in the last 19 months, and now everyone wants to know when she’s calling!”
If you want to see if Kat is also your lucky bingo charm, then you have plenty of opportunities to do so. This month, the club is running a January Sale, which is offering 50% off the Main Game on Monday to Thursday evenings up until 23rd January.
Better yet, you can also get 12 tickets for the price of 6 on Max, which is what the player was using when she won the £50,000 jackpot.
The National Bingo Game takes place twice every day, during the afternoon and evening, and you can pay £1 for 2 tickets or £2 for 5. If you want to win the jackpot, you will have to hope that all your numbers are contained in the first 16 calls. However, if you’re not that lucky, you will still have the chance to win £1,000 if they are in the first 20 calls and £100 if they are in the first 24 calls.
In addition to the National Bingo Game, Mecca Luton has afternoon sessions starting at 12 pm every day and evening sessions starting at 6 pm. There are also morning sessions on Saturdays, giving you even more chances to win.
