There is something quintessentially British about both greeting cards and bingo, and now, thanks to a deal between Gala Bingo and Moonpig, the online greeting card expert, the two are coming together.

The agreement between the two companies will see the creation of a range of limited-edition greeting cards. Based upon the belief that “a little joy goes a long way”, the collection of greeting cards is designed to celebrate important moments in life and bring even more joy to the occasions when cards are sent.

Eight Bingo Call Inspired Cards

The collection will feature eight cards designed by Gala Bingo and Moonpig and inspired by the tradition of bingo calls. Each features a light-hearted take on some of the best-known and most loved bingo calls. Maybe here is the place to mention that Gala last year organised an ad campaign in which viewers needed to spot the bingo calls and win cash prizes.

For example, it is possible to send a person a get well soon card with “Doctor’s Orders”, celebrate an important birthday with “Baker’s Buns”, and congratulate those who have moved to a new home with “Knock at the Door”. Each card is designed to raise a smile and bring a touch of bingo to everyday life.

Speaking about the new cards, Sara Jolly, the head of brand at Gala Bingo, said:

“We have had a lot of fun working with Moonpig on this limited edition range of cards, and we can’t wait to see what the response will be! With 90 bingo calls to choose from, this partnership allowed us to create a multi-purpose card collection to bring joy to the community with a touch of Gala Bingo magic.”

Similarly, Sarah-Jane Porter, director of global design & licensing at Moonpig, commented:

“Celebrating the moments that matter is at the heart of everything we do at Moonpig, which is why we are delighted to be partnering with Gala Bingo to create a range of cards which can be there for our customers to spread joy and send to friends and family across a variety of occasions. Whether it’s reaching out to a new neighbour, sending well wishes or celebrating a friend’s birthday, we really do hope their ‘jaws hit the floor’ when they see these new designs.”

Designs for Every Taste

The Gala Bingo & Moonpig greeting cards range from the light-hearted, with captions such as “Congratulations, you are the queen bee!” to the more risqué, such as a birthday card featuring a man holding an oversized dabber and the caption “Linda’s jaw hit the floor when she saw the size of John’s dabber”.

The standard-sized cards cost £4.19, while large versions cost an additional £1.80 and giant cards cost an extra £5.80. They can be purchased on Moonpig and will be available until the end of the year. It is also possible to purchase group cards so that up to 50 people can digitally sign the card before it is sent.

The cards can be personalised in a variety of enjoyable ways, such as by adding stickers and photos, changing the fonts, adding emojis, including audio clips, videos, and more, Moonpig also sells a range of gifts to accompany the cards. These include flowers and plants, balloons, chocolates, and experience packages. While there are no bingo experiences for sale on the site, there are plenty of other options that are sure to appeal to lovers of the game, such as meals out, overnight stays, spa packages, and so on.

Of course, together with the bingo-themed greeting cards, you could gift someone a number of bingo cards, either online or offline, or even a night out at your local venue, which is sure to go down a treat.
