Last year’s Dabbers Bingo Comedy Caller Contest 2024 winner set the bar high with an unforgettable performance, and this year’s competition promises to bring even more talent and entertainment to the stage.
The 2025 Comedy Caller Contest will begin in April at Dabbers HQ in Houndsditch, London. The event will feature multiple rounds and culminate in a high-energy Grand Final in July. Contestants will need to demonstrate quick wit, stage presence, and first-class bingo-calling skills to win over both the audience and a panel of industry experts.
It is not too late to enter the contest or you could go along and join the audience. Tickets start at just £10 and each one includes a “Jungle is Massive” Malibu cocktail, which is the perfect way to kick off an evening of bingo-themed entertainment.
Dabbers’ Managing Director, Jonny Unknown, has spoken about what the competition has to offer:

Past winners and contestants have gone on to make waves in the comedy and cabaret worlds. I’m always keen to see where we can take Dabbers and the bingo format next and what new ideas can spin it all over again.”
This year’s competition will see 24 contestants battle it out across multiple rounds:
The winner will walk away with a £1,000 cash prize, the chance to perform at a major UK summer festival, and guaranteed bookings at Dabbers Social Bingo, which means the competition can serve as a launchpad for comedy and cabaret careers. Last year’s winner, Dru Cripps, did not have a straightforward path to victory. Originally eliminated in the heats, Dru was brought back as a wildcard after fellow contestant Lil Wenker had to withdraw due to a medical emergency.
Dressed as an old-school ‘90s raver, Dru combined mime, improvisational beatboxing, and dance moves with traditional bingo calling to deliver a performance like no other. His routine, which featured a loop station and perfectly timed comedic beats, wowed the audience and secured him the title of Dabbers Comedy Caller Winner 2024.
Dru’s spontaneous and interactive style proved that the contest is about more than just calling numbers, it’s about providing the audience and bingo players with an immersive entertainment experience.
