If you are in the Gerrards Cross area in Buckinghamshire, you enjoy bingo, and you want to support a good cause, then the upcoming Bingo & Bubbles evening is just the ticket.

Taking place at The Memorial Centre, East Common, Gerrards Cross, the evening has been organised by the Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre (GXCA) and is taking place at 6:30 pm on Friday, 28th March 2025.

The evening will be raising money for The Gerrards Cross Community Association, which is dedicated to building connection and collaboration within the community. To facilitate this, it runs clubs, societies, adult education sessions, a youth centre, and leisure facilities. It allows people to book rooms for social functions and business meetings, and the charity is funded by subscriptions, rentals, and fund-raising activities, such as the upcoming bingo night.

The Association was created in 1947 in order to build the local community and “to advance education, to provide a meeting place … for recreation and social, moral, spiritual and intellectual development and to foster a community spirit”. It works together with Buckinghamshire County Council and various other adult education organisations in order to offer educational classes and help sponsor new activities for the community.

A Celebrity Host

The Bingo & Bubbles event will be hosted by Sherwood and My Family star Robert Lindsay. Speaking about the upcoming bingo event, Marcia Bell, chair of Trustees at GXCA, said:

“We’re thrilled to have a Bafta, Tony and Olivier award winner as our official Bingo Caller for the night. Whether you’re a bingo pro or a first-timer, you’re in for an evening full of fun and surprises! We can’t thank Robert enough for his support for our community charity.”

The evening promises to deliver bingo games with thrilling prizes, an open bar all night, a menu of chilli con carne, rice & salad or macaroni cheese, and plenty of entertainment and excitement. Tickets for the event cost just £15 and the meal costs an additional £4.50.
