This holiday season, there is a treat in store for bingo players, and it’s not just about Christmas online bingo promos. We’re talking about the special events at Cardiff’s DEPOT venue, where a series of Bingo Lingo events, ‘Christmas Craic-ker,’ will take place. Not only will they feature plenty of bingo action, but also a custom-built Irish pub and live entertainment.
Bingo Lingo began life in Cardiff in 2016 and it has since become popular across the UK. Sell-out events have been held in more than 50 cities, drawing in crowds with its high-energy reinvention of the game. Each week, the Bingo Lingo events at DEPOT attract up to 1,400 people, and the Christmas Craic-ker series looks set to be just as popular.
To make the events even more special, DEPOT has worked with the independent designers Tim Dickel and Sian Jenkins from BertandErnie Designs to create a special Irish pub installation, O’Dickels. The pub is home to vintage furnishings and gaming machines, and it will host live Irish bands, giving it authentic charm and the feel of a classic Irish pub. O’Dickels is open every weekend this month, serving Guinness and other Irish classics.
As mentioned, the Bingo Lingo Christmas Craic-ker shows are running until the end of the month. There are three more events scheduled, on 20, 21, and 27 December, and if you hurry, you can still buy tickets.
The events, run by hilarious hosts and performers, promise stage battles, ridiculous rounds, and prizes ranging from electric scooters and festival tickets to giant inflatables and luxury holidays.
As Rhys Hartley, the Operations Manager for Bingo Lingo, said:
“Whether you’re a warehouse raver, a corporate team, or simply looking for a night of festive fun with friends with a tongue-in-cheek Irish twist, our Christmas Craic-ker is the ultimate event to get you in the holiday spirit!”
